Change Primary Fuel Filter

Items Required

• Strap wrench (removal)
• 17mm wrench
• 12mm wrench
• 10mm wrench
• Replacement filter element and gasket kit
• Towels/oil pads
• Glass containers

Procedure

1. Close fuel supply lines.
2. Set fuel filter assembly to filter not being replaced.
3. Open filter assembly vent for filter being replaced with 10mm wrench.
4. Drain fuel from filter into glass container.
5. Tighten filter assembly vent.
6. Remove filter element with bowl.
7. Remove bowl from element, remove old o-ring, and clean bowl.
8. Lubricate new o-ring with fuel, set in bowl channel, attach bowl to new filter element.
9. Fill element with clean fuel.
10. Attach element to filter assembly.
11. Open fuel supply lines.
12. Purge air from fuel system.
13. Set filter assembly to desired filter.
14. Run engine, check for leaks.
