Change Engine Oil and Filter

Items Required

• Strap wrench (removal)
• Fluid extractor
• New oil filter

Procedure

1. Run engine for 15 minutes from cold to warm oil. Avoid running for longer, we don’t want the engine hot.
2. Remove oil filter. It will be full of oil, try to capture as much as possible.
3. Unpackage new oil filter, lubricate gasket with fresh oil, and install.
4. Remove dipstick, insert appropriately sized pump hose.
5. Pump out as much oil as possible.
6. Replace dipstick.
7. Fill with oil to full line. Do not overfill.
8. Run engine, check for leaks.
