Repair Teak

Post written by Marissa, - Updated

This week, as we were cleaning the boat and working on the renaming, we noticed water squishing up between a couple of the teak planks on the foredeck, around the v-berth hatch. This isn’t great - left unfixed, this will cause the deck to become wet and eventually rot.

Update: I was looking at the previous owner’s maintenance log, and it appears they tried to fix this once before, about 2 years ago. Unfortunately, the fix did not last. We’ll need to be extra careful when we go to fix this issue, to make sure we fix it correctly.
